Cool starships
I've got a thing for starship design - whether from sci-fi or reality matters not, I could stare at them for hours. Inspired by Van Plexico's Ten Coolest Spaceships of TV and Movies, here's my top 10 list of starship designs:
- My fav by far: B5's Shadow Vessel, dubbed the Battle Crab by fans.
- Species 8472 Planet Killer bioship from Voyager
- The Lexx, and not just because Xenia Seeberg was somewhere inside
- Keith Thompson's Phyto-Assault Ship
- Borg Cube from ST:TNG
- Minbari Sharlin from B5
- Romulan D'Deridex warbird ST:TNG, again
- The Titan from Titan AE
- Darth Vader's T.I.E. Fighter
- The Millenium Falcon, 'nuff said.

I must also admit genuinely liking the retro style of the Viper Mark II

Yeah, I have to agree with Mark and Doug. This list is not complete without the Colonial Viper and the Ceylon Raider from the original Battlestar Galactica series. Those ships made an indelible mark on my childhood (I had the die cast models).
I'll also venture out on a limb and date myself with this next nomination: Nell, the charismatic spaceship from the 1980 Roger Corman/James Cameron epic space western "Battle Beyond the Stars". IMHO Nell was the star of the movie and easily outshone George Peppard and Robert Vaughn.
